These exercises are from the teachings of Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming and help the body adjust to the changing seasons as well as clear out energy blockages. Four Seasons Qigong has been practiced for hundreds of years to promote wellness and relieve pain.
As the seasons change, so does our energy. In the fall season our energy starts to pull deeper into the body, storing up for the winter to come. When our energy is in a balanced state, this inward pull creates a nice feeling of focus and much can be accomplished with the clarity of mind and intent. If your energy is not quite in balance, however, this inward flow can feel depressing, dark, and cold and lead to seasonal depression as well as other seasonal illnesses. Qigong exercises can be a powerful way of enhancing our balance to get the most out of the changing seasons.
The Fall Qigong set helps the body and mind adjust to the strong inward pull of the energy, helping to lift your mood and prevent illness. In this class we will study in depth the General set as well as the Fall set of Four Seasons Qigong. The General set helps improve health and mobility of the neck and spine. The Fall Qigong set not only helps balance the seasonal energy, it also helps improve health and mobility in the upper back, chest, shoulders, and arms.
Chinese Medicine Nutrition for the lungs and large intestine will also be covered.
This course is accessible to people of all ages and abilities and no previous experience is needed!
10 week program, a half hour per week, $80. ONLY $60 if taking another course!
